The Houston Texans spent significant draft capital to move up to the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Texans general manager Nick Caserio is taking a different tact in 2024.
Houston's general manager reportedly agreed to a swap of draft capital with the Minnesota Vikings on Friday morning, in which Minnesota will receive Houston's 2024 first-rounder (pick No. 23) as well as pick No. 232. Houston will receive picks No. 42 and 188 in 2024, as well as the Vikings' second-round pick in 2025. Caserio's move may be shrewd on a number of fronts.
