The Houston Texans have signed RB Pierre Thomas to a deal, according to Aaron Wilson (Houston Chronicle).
Texans plan to sign running back Pierre Thomas following successful tryout today per sources also worked out Ben Malena and Joe McKnight

Pierre Thomas, 30, averaged 4.9 yards per carry in 45 rush attempts and caught 45 passes for 378 yards in 11 games for the New Orleans Saints last season.

The Thomas signing (though not confirmed yet officially) comes after the after the news of Arian Foster going down with a groin injury that will likely require surgery.
