The Texans season has been for the most part a disaster. The only oasis has been the play of the defense, which finished as the No. 1 defense in the NFL. Much of the success can be attributed to defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel and linebackers coach Mike Vrabel.
The Texans appear to be preparing to reward both with new titles for the 2017 season. MMQB’s Albert Breer reports the Texans will elevate Crennel to assistant head coach and name Vrabel their defensive coordinator.
Per sources, the Texans are promoting LBs coach Mike Vrabel to defensive coordinator.
