Texans To Move Forward With Tom Savage, Haven’t Shown Interest In Jay Cutler

Ian Rapoport reports that the Texans will now move forward with Tom Savage as their quarterback and likely draft one this year following the news that Tony Romo will retire from the NFL and take a broadcasting job.

The news of Romo’s retirement would seem to help some free agents such as Jay Cutler or Colin Kaepernick, given that they’re the best available options right now. However, Aaron Wilson reports that the Texans haven’t displayed any interest in Cutler at this point, and he isn’t sure that they will change with the Romo news.
