The Texans are retaining undrafted rookie defensive end Joel Heath on their 53-man roster and are cutting veteran defensive lineman Brandon Dunn, according to sources not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans are also keeping safety Corey Moore on the roster.
Heath is an impressive young lineman who landed the biggest signing bonus with an $11,000 payment out of the Texans' undrafted rookie class.
The former Michigan State lineman is 6-6, 293 pounds with long arms and good mobility. Heath has the long arms and big hands teams want from a 3-4 defensive end, measuring in at 34 1/2-inch arms and 10 1/2-inch hands.
