When the Texans host Tennessee on Sunday, the defense will be playing against quarterback Marcus Mariota for the first time.
The Texans swept the Titans in each of the last two seasons. They played against former Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger.
The 6-4 Mariota, who was injured in both games against the Texans last season, has seven turnovers during their 1-2 start.
"It's a challenge to go against a quarterback that's a dual threat like him," cornerback Johnathon Joseph said after practice Monday. "He can create plays with his legs and his arms."
Mariota is the most mobile quarterback the Texans have played.
