C.J. Fiedorowicz isn't the only Texans tight end having a breakthrough season.
Backup tight end Ryan Griffin has caught a career-high 48 passes for 432 yards and also has two touchdown catches. The 6-6, 265-pounder from Connecticut has improved as a blocker working in tandem with Fiedorowicz, who's caught a career-high 52 passes for 547 yards and three touchdowns.
"He's doing a good job prepping for the game, as far as game plan and knowing his opponent," Texans offensive coordinator George Godsey said of Griffin. "He's practicing really well. He's trying to get extra reps with the quarterbacks after practice.
