The promotion of tight ends coach Tim Kelly as the Texans' new offensive coordinator resonated heavily with Ryan Griffin.
The veteran tight end expects Kelly to make an immediate impact on the Texans' offense with his ideas while working in tandem with coach Bill O'Brien.
"There's going to be a lot of familiarity with his thoughts and his schemes going into the game plan," Griffin said. "Just for me, I'm really excited about what he can bring to the table and help out OB, I think, with game preparation stuff."
The Texans promoted Will Lawing from offensive assistant to tight ends coach as the replacement for Kelly.
