GREEN BAY, Wis. -- With backup A.J. McCarron potentially out for the remainder of the preseason with a thumb injury, the Texans made adjustments at quarterback Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers.
The Texans held out starter and Pro Bowl alternate Deshaun Watson as a precautionary measure, starting third quarterback Joe Webb.
The Texans' first-string offensive line was comprised of left tackle Matt Kalil, left guard Tytus Howard, center Greg Mancz with Nick Martin still out with a hamstring injury, right guard Zach Fulton and right tackle Seantrel Henderson.
The Texans also held out Pro Bowl alternate running back Lamar Miller, starting special-teams standout Taiwan Jones at running back.
