Texans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is launching a charitable foundation intended to battle illiteracy and obesity.
"Illiteracy is a problem that, if not defeated, hurts America's success as a superpower," Hopkins said. "Child obesity is a major issue in America. Diet and fitness is not only a part of my life personally, but will become a cause of the DeAndre Hopkins foundation.
"There are far too many kids out of shape and at health risk. Therefore, the DeAndre Hopkins foundation aims to work and help address this problem."
The South Carolina native and former first-round draft pick from Clemson is entering his fourth NFL season.
