Texans special-teams ace Brian Peters is nearing his return from a quadriceps injury that has sidelined him since a road loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Peters has been sprinting for a few weeks and the Texans hope to have him back Monday night against the Oakland Raiders.
He has practiced all week.
Peters tied for the NFL lead last season with 17 special-teams tackles. Peters has six special-teams tackles this season.
