The Houston Texans have signed S Marcus Gilchrist to a one-year contract on Monday, according to Ian Rapoport.
The Texans recently brought Gilchrist in a for a workout and it appears as though they felt he could be a quality addition to their secondary.
Gilchrist, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. After four years San Diego, Gilchrist signed a four-year, $22 million contract with $8.5 million guaranteed in March of 2015.
Gilchrist was set to make a base salary of $6 million for the 2017 season when the Jets elected to designate him as a post-June 1 release a few months ago.
