The Houston Texans have signed FB Jay Prosch to a three-year, $5.75 million extension, which includes $2.7M guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter.
This is the second extension signed by a Texans player today, so Houston is clearly focused on trying to lock up some of their younger players.
Prosch, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,298,680 contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.
In 2016, Prosch appeared in 15 games for the Texans and rushed for nine yards on four carries to go along with one reception for six yards receiving and no touchdowns.
