The Texans have signed former Arizona Cardinals safety Jonathan Owens to the practice squad.
Owens worked out for the Texans on Friday.
Owens spent 2018 on the Cardinals' injured reserve list due to a knee injury.
The 5-11, 210-pounder went undrafted out of Missouri Western.
Owens was released on Aug. 31 by Arizona.
In college, he was a second-team all-conference and all-academic selection who had 95 tackles and two interceptions in his final season.
