Texans set franchise record with 7-1 home record

Since the start of the Texans' franchise, none of the editions of the AFC South club has had as good a home record as this year's squad.

Despite the failure of the $72 million Brock Osweiler quarterback experiment and having to bench him and a season-ending back injury to star defensive end J.J. Watt, the Texans set a franchise single-season record with a 7-1 record at NRG Stadium.

The Texans won the AFC South for the second year in a row and are 9-6 overall following a 12-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals and have already clinched the fourth playoff seed heading into the final week of the regular season as they prepare for a meaningless contest against the Tennessee Titans on the road Sunday.
