As a rookie, Texans punter Trevor Daniel managed to beat the odds and beat out seven-time Pro Bowl selection Shane Lechler.
As entrenched as Lechler was until Daniel's arrival, the Texans liked the undrafted rookie's upside and leg strength.
Daniel had a solid first NFL season, averaging 43.7 yards per punt with a 39.1 net average. He downed 36 punts inside opponents' 20-yard line.

Now, the Texans want to see more from Daniel as he enters his second season.
