When veteran Texans special teams coordinator Brad Seely evaluates the kicking game and coverage units, he sees solid progress.
Kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn has stabilized since a slump earlier this season. He has five missed extra points, one that was blocked against the Jaguars on Sunday due to a botched protection.
The Texans would like to see more explosive plays in the return game.
“I feel pretty good with where we're at right now," Seely said. "I think our coverage teams are doing well, I think we've got some work to do in our return game, but I think it's a work in progress and I think it's coming along.
