Texans see progress from rookie punter Trevor Daniel

Since replacing seven-time Pro Bowl punter Shane Lechler, Texans rookie Trevor Daniel has made steady progress and learned a ton during his first NFL season.

The former University of Tennessee standout is averaging 43.7 yards per punt with a 39.1 net average. He has downed 36 punts inside opponents' 20-yard line.

"I think that’s one of things he’s done really well, especially in the last game," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "He’s done a very good job of placing the ball inside the 10- yard line.
