FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- When the Texans signed former Arizona Cardinals All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu, they envisioned him operating as an aggressive enforcer in their secondary.
Mathieu was as advertised, displaying a ball-hawking presence during his first regular-season game for the Texans on Sunday.
Although the Texans absorbed a 27-20 loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, Mathieu was extremely active and opportunistic.
