TAMPA, Fla. – When veteran safety Jahleel Addae adeptly undercut a Jameis Winston pass for the Texans’ fourth interception Saturday to clinch an AFC South division title, it brought him full circle back to his childhood.
Two decades ago, a 9-year-old Addae was playing youth league football for the Brandon Broncos. His team reached the Super Bowl of area league champions and they got to play at Raymond James Stadium.
Addae, 29, got to go inside the Buccaneers’ locker room and saw legendary defensive players Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp’s lockers.
“We took the loss, but it was a good experience,” Addae said.
