Texans' Ryan Griffin gives strong performance in homecoming game

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Texans tight end Ryan Griffin grew up in New Hampshire and played collegiately at Connecticut.

He had a large contingent of family and friends attending the game Sunday, obtaining roughly 40 tickets.

Griffin didn't disappoint them as he caught five passes for 61 yards with one touchdown against the hometown Patriots.

This was Griffin's first game back after suffering a concussion against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"It felt good getting back out there," Griffin said. "I was out last week. It was tough watching the game.

"I was happy to be out on the field battling for the guys.
