Jonathan Grimes provided versatility and skill to the Texans' backfield last season in a reserve role.
Flashing quickness and a reliable ability to catch passes as a third-down back, Grimes has set his ambitions on contributing even more after being signed to a one-year, $900,000 contract this offseason.
"I think it's going to be an exciting season," Grimes said Friday following a workout at IX Innovations. "I feel good. I've been working out hard this offseason, and I'm just hoping everything pays off and comes to fruition. I'm healthy and ready to rock and roll.
"I just want to stay healthy and be very consistent.
