HOUSTON -- Texans right tackle Derek Newton was carted off the field after injuring his right knee and will not return to the game.
Newton laid on the ground while being checked out by the medical team, and was pounding his right fist on the field. He had air casts put on both legs, but the Texans said the injury was just to the right.
Tackle Chris Clark is playing in Newton's spot at right tackle. He filled in at left tackle for Houston while Duane Brown was on the PUP list to start the season.
