Texans rookies give back at kids' shopping spree

Heading up and down the aisles at Academy Sports + Outdoors on Tuesday morning, Texans rookie nose tackle D.J. Reader helped children from the Houston Texans YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs pick out holiday presents during a shopping spree.

"It feels good, man, to support the kids and have fun with them," said Reader, a sixth-round draft pick from Clemson. "It's good to have a positive male influence in their lives and it's good to see the kids come out and have fun and be able to relax for a day."

Fourteen children received a $200 gift card to pick out toys and clothing.
