Finding holes and decisively hitting them, elusive Texans rookie kick returner and running back Tyler Ervin got his NFL career off to a fast start Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Ervin generated 108 all-purpose yards, including returning three kickoffs for 73 yards and a 24.8 average. He also returned three punts for a 9.7 average, had one carry for three yards and a five-yard reception.
"I felt like it was pretty good, " said Ervin, a fourth-round draft pick from San Jose State. "There's still some room for improvement. I can see it opening up. I'm just playing my game.
