LANDOVER, Md. -- Growing up in Louisiana, Texans rookie safety Justin Reid played soccer until late in his high school career.
He had never scored a touchdown at any level of football.
That all changed Sunday when Reid jumped in front of an Alex Smith pass and scooted 101 yards for the touchdown during a 23-21 victory at FedEx Field.
"It felt phenomenal," Reid said. "It's an indescribable feeling. That was the first touchdown of my life. My first pick-six, it was a special one and it contributed to the win."
Reid got tackled twice inside the 5-yard line in high school.
