WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. - When the Texans signed rookie linebacker Dylan Cole as an undrafted free agent, there was plenty of buzz about the former Missouri State All-American.

The Texans' investment in Cole was the largest they made in any undrafted rookie, including $27,000 in guaranteed money through a $12,000 signing bonus and the team guaranteeing $15,000 of his base salary.

Named the top linebacker in the nation among Football Championship Subdivision schools by athletic directors last season, Cole has impressed the coaching staff with his athleticism and aggressive approach to the game.

Cole recorded three tackles against the Carolina Panthers in his NFL preseason debut.
