NEW ORLEANS -- Deshaun Watson sailed the pass too high on a throw intended for wide receiver Wendall Williams.
The misfire became the first interception for the Texans' rookie backup quarterback as New Orleans Saints cornerback Damian Swann picked him off.
The first-round draft pick and national championship winner from Clemson had a tough game against the Saints on Saturday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Watson nearly had two other errant throws intercepted, but the Saints' defensive backs were unable to hold onto the football.
Watson finished the game 11 for 21 for 116 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception for a 48.
