Texans rookie Dameon Pierce in rare company with hot start

There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about the Houston Texans amid a 1-3-1 start, but rookie running back Dameon Pierce certainly isn't one of them.

Following Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the fourth-round pick out of Florida has rushed for 412 yards and three touchdowns with an average of 4.8 yards per carry. He finds himself in rare company as a result.

Pierce is one of only nine rookie running backs to rush for over 400 yards through five weeks, with the most recent being Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019.
