Texans Reportedly Uninterested In Free Agents Who Protested Last Season

Related Topics: Bob McNair, ESPN, Free Agents, Duane Brown

During last season there were a number of anti-protests reports that came out of the Texans’ organization. Bob McNair was quoted saying, ”Can’t have the inmates running the prison,” in an ESPN report on last year’s meetings between the owners and the players over protesting regarding the national anthem. Duane Brown had his own anecdotes about the Texans not giving him a platform to discuss his own protest, and comments McNair made after the 2008 election.

Because of this it was reasonable to wonder if these stories would affect Houston’s ability to sign free agents.
