The Texans are removing veteran offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson from the non-football injury list with a financial settlement, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
That would make the former starter an unrestricted free agent. Henderson, a 6-7, 351-pound former Buffalo Bills starter, is expected to draw interest from other teams seeking a big right tackle.
Henderson, 27, has recovered fully from a relatively minor back injury that prompted the team to sign offensive tackle Chris Clark in October following a tryout while starting rookie right tackle Tytus Howard was sidelined with a partially torn medial collateral ligament.
