Five reasons for pessimism after the Texans' 24-17 loss to the Titans on Sunday:
1. Here we go again with the quarterback situation. Tom Savage, starting his second game, missed most of it, including the entire second half, because of a concussion. After the game, Bill O'Brien said that, even if Savage passes the concussion protocol this week, Brock Osweiler might start the playoff game. The last thing a team needs going into the playoffs is uncertainty at quarterback.
2. For the third consecutive season under O'Brien, the Texans finished 9-7. Yes, they did win the AFC South for the second consecutive year.
