Texans offensive lineman Jeff Adams will be extending his tenure with the AFC South champions, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
After spending the majority of last season on injured reserve with a torn patellar tendon in his right knee, Adams is back with the Texans on a one-year, $600,000 exclusive-rights free agent tender.
When the Texans started the season, Adams had emerged as their starting left offensive guard. However, his season ended in September after two starts when he got hurt playing right tackle against the Carolina Panthers.
Adams has made major progress in his rehabilitation after spending the season on injured reserve and should be fully recovered for organized team activities and minicamps.
