The Houston Texans continue to bring their players back into the fold and re-signed several contributors once the NFL free agency period began. Texans and A.J. McCarron have agreed to a one year deal worth up to $4 million with $3.75 guaranteed according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
McCarron had very little playing time last season but he showed plenty of promise in his lone start of the season against a desperate Tennessee Titans team that had a playoff berth on the line in Week 17.
McCarron looked in control of the offense and played relatively well taking into consideration he was playing with mostly depth players as Bill O’Brien decided to rest the starters.
