The Texans re-signed tight end Jerell Adams to the practice squad on Tuesday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

Adams has recovered from an illness that prompted the team to cut him and sign tight end Keenen Brown, who was released Saturday.
Adams is a former New York Giants sixth-round draft pick from South Carolina. He has 24 career receptions for 214 yards and one touchdown.
