The Texans have re-signed quarterback Joe Webb, according to his agent, David Canter.
The dual-threat quarterback was released Saturday during the initial roster cutdown to 53 players.
Webb had a strong preseason and impressed the coaching staff with his versatility and mobility. He doubles as a special teams contributor.
Webb, 31, is 6-4, 230 pounds and has previous stints with the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings.
He has passed for 888 career yards and three touchdowns with six interceptions, rushing for 326 yards and four scores with 401 return yards.
