The Texans reinforced their kicking game with a financial commitment Tuesday.
The defending AFC South champions retained pending unrestricted free agent kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn with a four-year contract, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
The Texans previously signed punter Bryan Anger to a three-year, $8.25 million contract after he averaged 46.5 yard per punt in his first season with them.
A former Lou Groza Award winner who went undrafted out of UCLA, Fairbairn played last season under a $3.095 million restricted free agent tender.
Fairbairn, 26, rebounded strongly from a rocky start to the season impacted by getting accustomed to a new holder in Anger after the team released Trevor Daniel.
