The Texans have brought back defensive tackle Brandon Dunn on a new practice squad contract after he cleared waivers
The Texans released Dunn on Saturday when they promoted defensive end Ufomba Kamalu to the active roster.
Dunn originally rejoined the Texans on their practice squad earlier this season after he declined several competing offers to other other NFL teams' practice squads.
After being signed off of the Chicago Bears' practice squad to the Texans' active roster last year, Dunn played in 11 games and had seven tackles.
Dunn is regarded as a player with upside by the coaching staff.
