According to Jason La Canfora, the Texans rebuffed trade inquiries for QB Tom Savage from interested teams in the past, which seems strange to teams around the league now that they benched him after one half in favor of rookie QB Deshaun Watson.
Sources tell La Canfora that at least four teams have had some level of interest in Savage dating back to last year, but there has been a lot of support for him within the team including from veteran players and HC Bill O’Brien.
