Texans practicing outside to prep for cold-weather games

The Texans plan to practice outside this week as they prepare for cold, rainy conditions moving forward.

That will begin Saturday on the road against the New York Jets, with a weather forecast for chilly, inclement weather. Early forecasts for Saturday in East Rutherford, N.J., calls for temperatures in the mid-40s. After the Jets' game, the Texans travel to play the Philadelphia Eagles the following week.

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, a former Clemson star who grew up in Georgia, hasn't played in a lot of cold-weather climates.

"Our weather right now is not like it is in New York or Philly, but it's not great here right now," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said.
