Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt practiced Wednesday, his second day of practice this week as he prepares to make his return Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Watt missed the entire preseason after undergoing back surgery to repair a herniated disc. The microdiscectomy procedure was effective as Watt quickly regained his mobility and flexibility.
Watt is set to play in his 81st consecutive game, a durability streak of never missing an NFL game entering his sixth season. Watt was activated from the physically unable to perform list Saturday and passed his physical over the weekend.
