Three-time Texans Pro Bowl offensive tackle Duane Brown returned to practice Monday, a major step in his comeback from offseason surgery to repair a torn quadriceps tendon.
Brown won't play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, but coach Bill O'Brien hasn't ruled him out as an option next week against the Minnesota Vikings
"I think he's closer," O'Brien said Friday. "I don't think he will play against Tennessee, but I know that there's a shot for the next game."
Brown has had a lengthy rehabilitation from his surgery, which stemmed from an injury suffered during the regular-season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.
