The Texans plan to re-sign rookie outside linebacker Eric Lee after cutting him with a failure to disclose a physical condition designation and then reworking his contract to include an injury waiver.
Lee experienced swelling in his right knee, but doesn't need surgery.
The Texans released Lee on Tuesday and he cleared waivers Wednesday before the AFC South club changed the language in the contract. Lee originally received a $1,500 signing bonus after signing with the team after going undrafted.
Lee played defensive end at the University of South Florida, but is learning how to play outside linebacker.
