The Houston Texans announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE C.J. Fiedorowicz on injured reserve with a concussion to make room for WR Jaelen Strong, who has been activated from suspension.
Fiedorowicz, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.95 million contract and was to make a base salary of $831,810 for the 2017 season when the Texans recently signed him to a brand new three-year, $21.5 million extension with $10 million guaranteed.
In 2016, Fiedorowicz appeared in 15 games for the Texans and caught 54 passes for 559 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
