Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was placed on injured reserve Wednesday one day after he underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral.
A three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Watt injured his left pectoral while making a tackle on Oakland Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs on Sunday.
Watt is expected to make a full recovery before next season.
The Texans re-signed defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun.
