The Texans had a short week, but looked as fresh as ever as they picked up a 24-17 win over the New York Jets. With direct snaps, Wildcat formations and creative play-calling, Bill O’Brien’s game plan helped boost Houston to their third-straight win of the 2015 season.
Houston’s offense was effective putting up 367 net yards. T.J. Yates, in his first start under O’Brien, was 16-of-34 for 229 yards and two touchdowns.
DeAndre Hopkins led all receivers with 118 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Cecil Shorts III, who liined up under center for several direct snaps in the game, also threw a touchdown pass in the win.
