Texans part ways with tight end Garrett Graham

After playing six seasons with the Texans, tight end Garrett Graham was placed on waivers today.

The move was expected because Graham was inactive for the last nine games last season, including the playoff loss to Kansas City.

Releasing Graham, 29, gives the Texans an additional $3.1 million in salary cap room.

Graham, a fourth-round pick from Wisconsin in 2010, finished last season with four catches for 30 yards and a touchdown.

The Texans still have tight ends Ryan Griffin and C.J. Fiedorowicz on the roster. They're expected to draft or sign a third tight end.
