Texans owner Bob McNair is giving back to the football program at his alma mater.
A University of South Carolina graduate, McNair and his wife, Janice, have made a $5 million donation toward the construction of the Gamecock Football Operations Center.
That brings the university to more than $16 million of the $30 million goal of fundraising to build the facility. Fundraising efforts are ongoing.
"Janice and I have been privileged to support great initiatives in higher education and athletics,"Bob McNair siad. "We are again honored to join with other Gamecock supporters in supporting the new football operations center at the University of South Carolina.
