Texans owner Bob McNair donates $10,000 to opponents of Houston's anti-discrimination law

HOUSTON -- Texans owner Bob McNair donated $10,000 to Campaign for Houston, a group that opposes Houston's Equal Rights Ordinance.

The city council passed the ordinance in 2014 to prohibit discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations on the basis of sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or pregnancy.

"Houston is a city known for the diversity and exceptionalism of its hard working people," McNair said in a statement.
