HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans' first preseason game is in the books, as some of their highly-touted rookies got valuable in-game experience against the New England Patriots on Thursday in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Snaps were limited for the No. 2 pick (quarterback C.J. Stroud) and the No. 3 selection (defensive end Will Anderson Jr.), but the coaching staff was optimistic about their top picks in the 20-9 win.
The Texans have only won 11 games in the past three seasons, and there's optimism that this draft class can help turn things around.
